I have
been creating automotive fine art for more than twenty years. As a kid in the
late 60s, I spent many nights cruising the local A&W and other fine dinning
establishments where acceleration tests were organized. Now I enjoy painting
scenes as I remember them (slightly embellished of course).
The original
paintings are done with Designers Gouache (an opaque water color) on board.
Many of the originals are now in private collections. Some originals are available
for sale.
To produce
the reproduction art prints, photographic images are made of the original paintings,
These are color corrected, plates made and the prints are produced using the four
color offset process. While on press, the color is continually checked and adjusted.
Probably as many prints are discarded as accepted. After 500 prints, the negatives
are destroyed. A small number of press proofs are set aside and made available
as artist's proofs. |

These
are prints that have been produced and sold out over the years. |
